Mac Miller, born Malcolm James McCormick, is an American rapper born on January 19, 1992, the son of Karen Meyers, a photographer, and Mark McCormick, an architect. Mac Miller attented Taylor Allderdice High school, the same exact high school as Wiz Khalifa, and at the tender age of 15 he decided that rapping is what he wanted to do with his life. From then on he focused solely on rapping and becoming a better emcee treating his passion like a job. Mac Miller also taught himself how to play piano, guitar, drums, and bass.

Before he decided to go the solo route Mac Miller was part of rap group The Ill Spoken together with fellow Pittsburgh rapper, Beedie. The Ill Spoken group released the mixtape How High in 2008. Prior to changing his name to Mac Miller, he was known as EZ Mac and released the mixtape But My Mackin’ Ain’t Easy in 2007 at 15 years old. In 2009 Mac Miller released two mixtapes The Jukebox: Prelude to Class Clown and The High Life before getting signed to Rostrum Records.

In early 2010, Miller signed with Rostrum Records and later on that same year they released his K.I.D.S mixtape which help Mac Miller set up his “Incredibly Dope Tour” that sold out at every single location. Mac Miller released his fifth mixtape Best Day Ever sometime in 2011. The mixtape had a lot of hit songs on there that included “Donald Trump” “Wear My Hat”, “BDE Bonus” and “All Around The World.” The mixtape also boasted production from producers  such as Just Blaze, 9th Wonder, and Chuck Inglish.
